WSU has over 2,000 employees who have their paychecks directly deposited at several Bank of America branches. WSU has no way of knowing which employees who have direct deposit of their paychecks have bank accounts at the affected branches.
If you convert your Bank of America checking or savings account to Washington Federal Bank, you should become familiar with the information contained in the Frequently Asked Questions link below from Washington Federal. You may need to update your payroll direct deposit information with WSU Payroll Services..
If you are on WSU Payroll Services direct deposit with a bank account at one of the sold branches and you decide to change to a different bank for direct deposit, WSU Payroll Services needs you to complete a new direct deposit authorization card. Please remember to attach proper documentation of the new bank route transit and account numbers to eliminate any delays in changing over direct deposit of your WSU paychecks.
The deadline for submitting bank account changes to WSU Payroll Services is 10 business days before payday with payday usually being the 10th and the 25th of the month. It is really important to remember this deadline or your paycheck may be routed to the wrong bank and you will have to wait several days for it to return through the Federal Reserve System.
Enrollment Procedures and Direct Deposit Authorization cards are available on Payroll Services web pages: http://payroll.wsu.edu/fspay/directdep/enroll.htm
